12 - A Mighty Bloodstained Yooka-Laylee Kills "Actual" Indies
Minecraft is the most watched game on youtube, surprising no one. But the others on the list are a bit surprising. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/05/17/minecraft-most-watched-game-on-youtube/
Alien Isolation sold 2.1 million copies and according to SEGA that’s “weak”, proving that SEGA is about as dumb as you’d think. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/05/13/alien-isolation-sales-figures-2-1-million/
Wasteland 2 GOTY Edition free for players, includes a fairly big overhaul to the game. A dev sticking to what they promised, a rare treat.
Yooka-Laylee and Bloodstained Ritual of the Night destroy on Kickstarter. Showing Microsoft and Konami that people do actually want games that aren’t brown chest-high wall cover simulators.
Ex-Bioshock devs put a hold on The Black Glove for now, but apparently they’re working on other games, so that’s alright?
Through The Woods, a Norweigan folk horror game was announced and looks kinda really awesome.
Black Mesa, the former mod gone paid game but also still free mod won’t be getting Xen in the mod version because of tech limitations. Cue the angry mobs.
And finally, Nintendo promises to produce 5 phone games by 2017. Which seems slow but also really fast somehow.
