Review? Thirty Flights of Lovin' (Originally Posted August 9, 2013)
Well, I'm gonna start by saying I have no idea what I just experienced, but it was kinda awesome.
I don't even know if I can even spoil anything, because I still don't know what just happened, but as a warning, this will probably have spoilers in this, so if you don't want them, don't read.
30 Flights of Loving was a short experience. I'm hesitant to call it a game, more an interactive story. It's short and sweet, with absolutely no dialogue. I played through twice just to get a feel for it and each time I noticed new things. I'm sure on another playthrough I'll notice more, and that's the nature of the...game?
Again, I'm hesitant to call it a game. You don't honestly do much other than interact with a couple objects and move around. The story is chopped up, with short flashbacks and flashforwards. Honestly, in the end it feels more like a cool experiment than anything else, which is just fine.
I'd still suggest giving it a shot just because of the strange trippy nature of it.
